Admission as a Lawyer
To be admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales, you must apply to the Legal Profession Admission Board for a compliance certificate.
If approved, you must attend an admission ceremony at the Supreme Court to take an oath of office or make an affirmation of office, and to sign the Supreme Court Roll.
Admission of lawyers in New South Wales is governed by the Legal Profession Admission Rules 2015 and Part 2.2 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW).
